Remus Uomo: FW 18-19

Set amongst the rocks, the Fall/Winter collection from Remus Uomo is a man made geometry of pinstripes and tweeds, juxtaposed by the harsh naturally occurring geometrics of rock formations. The collection sees a colour palette of cobalt, ink blue and cloud grey which are wonderfully accented by an earthy burgundy and port red. A strong theme of nature runs trough with the use of olive and moss green tones.

With comfort and versatility in mind , menswear has become far more versatile with layering being more than a styling choice. In what is quickly becoming a fundamental principle in men’s style, the collection places layering at the core. Lightweight jackets are matched with overcoats, while 3D weaves are layered as a more casual approach to suiting.

The inherent beauty of natural, irregular fibres in wool, cotton and suede is balanced by the ingenuity of innovation, as boiled and felted wools, 3D-effect structures, jacquard tweed and performance fabrics come to the fore

Feature contemporary stripes are used to both subtle and bold effect in pinstripe and boucle, in multi-coloured variations, both vertical and horizontal and creatively, in contrasting textures.

Casual suiting sees suit jackets with softer shoulder lines and casual trim details paired with feature trousers and worn with knitwear for this new take on the office uniform.

Tailored coats too show a more relaxed edge, with softer lines and jersey fabrics part of a collection which also features quilted and bomber style jackets.
